1. OBC (Non Creamy Layer) - 3 years.
2. SC - 5 years.
3. ST - 5 years.
4. PH - 10 years.
5. PH & OBC (Non Creamy Layer) - 13 years.
6. PH & SC/ST - 15 years.
7. Kashmiri Migrant - 5 years.


Which are the written test centres I can choose from?

Do I need to have the DD/PO/BC ready before filling up the application form?

Yes. GENERAL/OBC candidates only will need to provide certain details from the DD/PO/BC at the time of online submission of application form.


What is the amount of application fees to be sent?

Applications should be accompanied by Demand Draft for Rs.300/- (Rupees Three hundred only) irrespective of the group selected drawn in favour of Food Corporation of India, payable at KOLKATA . Application fee is not required for SC/ST and PH candidates, subject to submission of caste/medical certificate from a govt. hospital/medical board in support of his/her claim for being handicapped.


In whose favour should the DD be made?

The DD should be in favour of "Food Corporation of India " drawn preferably on State Bank of India, payable at KOLKATA.

To which address should I send the Applicatoin form and DD ?

Use Only the Address Label generated along with Application Form for sending the Application Form.

What are the documents to be sent?

Application complete in all respects: in an envelope superscribed, "Applications for the FCI Category III Posts (Zone: EAST | Group: _______ )". The application should reach on or before 21.09.2010. For candidates from North Eastern states & Jammu & Kashmir, last date for receipt of application is 29.09.2010.

  1. Print out of the filled online application form having auto generated Application Number with phtograph affixed  and duly signed.
  2. Demand Draft duly endorsed with your name and online Application No. on the reverse(in case of UR/OBC Students).
  3. Attested/self-attested copies of testimonials viz. Date of Birth certificate, Category certificate for SC/ST/OBC-NCL, PH certificate for (person with disabilities), Educational/experience certificates etc.

Note:Candidate must ensure to have fulfilled all the eligibility criteria, viz., age & qualification as on 01.08.2010.
No other Computer Qualification other than expressly mentioned in the Qualification Criteria would be accepted.

What is an auto generated Application Number?

An auto generated Application Number is a number allotted to you on successful submission of online application form and will appear on print version of the application form. This Number will be required for accessing, downloading and printing the written test Admit Card. For further correspondence, quote Application No.

 

How can I download my admit card for the Written Test?
Registration Process will be completed only on receipt of Print Version of Online Application Form, together with all the relevant attachments.

On the basis of information given in the FCI Application Form, Admit Card of provisionally eligible candidates will be available for download on website of http://specialtest.in/fci on or after 08/11/2010 (1400 Hours).

Kindly visit this site regularly for updated information. On such downloaded admit cards, the candidates are required to affix their two photographs (copies of the same photograph affixed on the Application Form) and sign on both the photographs on the downloaded Admit Card for producing at the Examination Centre. Candidate without the downloaded admit card or without the photograph on the admit card will NOT be permitted to appear in the written examination.
